GPY&R Brisbane bolsters digital strategy hiring Andrew Kolb

GPY&R Brisbane has lured Publicis Pusher general manager Andrew Kolb to the head of digital planning role.

At Publicis Pusher Kolb worked with a diverse range of clients including Foot Locker, Queensland Government, AirAsia, Parmalat, Mack Trucks and Mantra Hotels.

Prior to Kolb’s role with Publicis, he held an associate strategy director role at Sydney digital agency, The White Agency, where he led the digital transformation of the Lion account working on brands such as Hahn and James Squires.

Kolb has also held senior digital roles at Publicis Mojo and BCM working on large digital projects including the Facebook studio winning AirAsia Friendsy.

GPY&R Brisbane hosts inaugural ‘World Class Thursday’

GPY&R Brisbane prides itself on not being a Brisbane agency, but a world class agency that happens to be based in Brisbane. So on Thursday 21st August, they hosted their first ‘World Class Thursday’ event, to almost 100 clients and staff at the newly refurbished New Farm Cinemas.

The evening was hosted by Joint Creative Directors, Brendan Greaney & Andrew Thompson, where guests were treated to drinks, nibbles and a reel of some of the Grand Prix and Gold winners from this year’s Cannes Festival of Creativity.

It was also a chance to kick off the celebrations to mark 80 years of George Patterson Y&R in Australia, guests enjoyed a reel of some of the famous ads that we have created over the last 8 decades.

We’re stoked with GPY&R Brisbane’s Silver Lion win under Promo & Activation at Cannes 2014!

The activation, for SP Lager in Papua New Guinea, worked to solve the local beer drinker’s problem – an abundance of large, malaria-carrying mosquitos who are unwanted visitors.
